In
February, the St. Andrew's Outreach Team approved the carefully
considered plan of the steering committee of the Carolyn Lackey Trust to
make 2018 allocations as listed below.
Allocations totaling $21,000 were made to beneficiaries chosen with Ms. Lackey's instruction in mind -- that funds be used to assist the needy in our community and beyond, with an emphasis on programs for youth and the homeless.

The first annual distribution of funds was in 2014; these 2018 allocations mark a total of over $100,000 that the Carolyn Lackey Trust for Outreach has distributed to charitable organizations since its inception. The Lackey steering group, a three-person subcommittee of the Outreach Team, follows the principle that "Our money follows our people out into the world."
Importantly, St Andrew's parishioners are active in most of the recipient organizations, compounding the impact of Ms. Lackey's monetary gifts. (Note that parishioners are welcome to recommend charitable organizations for Outreach Team's future consideration.)
The 2018 beneficiaries are:
- $4,000 LINK of Hampton Roads - Living Interfaith Network for the homeless, veterans, and those in need

- $800 St. Paul’s Ministry: Reimbursement Fund for Shoppers
