Important follow-up message from Anne - what you need to know right now

Dear friends,

I hope and pray that this finds each of you well. I am praying especially for God’s peace and guidance for each of us as we do our best to adapt to the new and changing situation in which we find ourselves. And, of course, I join you in praying for all affected by the Coronavirus.

As you read in yesterday's email from Bishop Haynes, "To safeguard our people and those in our communities and to mitigate the rapid, uncontrolled spread of the coronavirus, all church activity including worship is suspended immediately for a period of two weeks in the Diocese of Southern Virginia."

What this means for St. Andrew's is that all in person group activities are cancelled for now. But we are blessed to live in a time when there are so many ways for us to be in community with one another even when we cannot gather together in person. I encourage you to make use of all available tools to stay in touch and to continue to provide the ministries of worship, outreach, and fellowship that are hallmarks of St. Andrew’s. As events in our area continue to unfold, we will use our Constant Contact emails as our primary method to get information out to you in a timely way.

Marc and I are both learning to use social media to make and share videos. We hope that you’ll join us on that journey (and be forgiving of our inevitable errors!). I just posted my first ever video on our church's Facebook page. Click here to watch it.

A video of our Sunday morning worship will be available through our Facebook page. We will send an email with a link to that worship video.  We also plan to offer worship on Tuesdays and the Toxic Charity study on Thursdays. Stay tuned for more information. You do not need to have a Facebook account to watch videos that we post on our church's Facebook page.

Thanks to the ministry of our own Ann Turner, both our diocese and our parish have access to numerous online resources. I hope you’ll take advantage of the opportunity to try them out through the links below.

Blessings to all of you. Please don’t hesitate to call or text or email at any time. I look forward to hearing from you.

Anne
